Rootdraft

Your experiences.Your knowledge.Your voice.

A smart journal to sort your thoughts. It remembers what you lived, and if you ever want to share something, it starts from there.

What it is

Rootdraft is a personal place to sort your thoughts, in your own words. Over time it learns what you lived, what you know and what you believe. Content is what grows out of that, not the point of it.

How it works

  1. 01

    Talk or write

At the end of the day, or whenever something is on your mind. A few sentences or ten minutes of thinking out loud.

  2. 02

    It remembers

Rootdraft picks out what is worth keeping: experiences, beliefs, decisions. You confirm what is true, in your own words.

  3. 03

    Your thoughts sort themselves

Over time it becomes a library of what you lived and believe. And if you ever want to share something, you start from there.

Inside

  • Evening journal

One to three questions that fit your day. Answer by voice or in writing.

  • Quick notes

Press ⌘K and talk. The recording keeps running while you move around the app.

  • Interviews

Rootdraft asks about your life, chapter by chapter, and listens for as long as you like.

  • Memory library

Everything you kept, sorted and grouped, and searchable by meaning, not only by words.

  • Sources

Save videos you learn from. Rootdraft keeps the transcript next to your own thoughts.

  • Ideas, if you want them

When you feel like sharing something, ideas grow out of what you kept. No pressure to post.

Why

AI can write anything. It can't write what only you lived. Authentic always wins.

Good to know

What is Rootdraft, really?

A journal that remembers. You talk or write about your day, and it keeps what matters in your own words, so you can find it again later.

Do I have to talk?

No. Talk when it is easier, type when it is quieter. Spoken entries are kept word for word, in German, English or both.

What happens to my entries?

Rootdraft suggests what is worth keeping. Nothing becomes a memory until you confirm it, and you can edit every one.

Who sees my entries?

Only you. Nothing shows up for anyone else.

How do I get in?
